Smelter Barbora
history, present, culture

The revitalization of the Barbora charcoal kiln in Jince was a project aimed at saving a late Baroque industrial building considered the most complete and best-preserved monument from the older period of blast furnace pig iron production in Bohemia. It is unique in terms of pan-European significance and is listed in the Central List of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. After the reconstruction, the Barbora kiln with the adjacent Bára Club building became a center of local culture.
